WHY SORRENTO? Port Phillip is quite different from Sydney Harbour and the Swan River however, as it is 40 miles north to south and 50 miles east to west. This means the sea can build up uncomfortably and traversing the Bay is not a good idea in some conditions. The best option is to cruise out of Sorrento, where there is more to see and the seas are flat, being protected from south, east and west by the Nepean Peninsula and from the north by the extensive sandbars. If your program requires transportation from one end of the Bay to the other, or anywhere in-between, we can arrange limousines, buses, seaplanes or helicopters.
